Frequently asked questions.

What exactly is Finagotchi?

A savings pet. It's a Tamagotchi-style creature that lives or dies by your actual onchain activity: weekly saves, DCA, swaps, stakes. Stay active and it evolves through four stages. Go quiet and it dies. It ships as a mobile app on Seeker and the Solana dApp Store. No custom hardware required.

Why does this need to be onchain?

Because the chain is the referee. Habit apps run on self-reported check-ins; a save, swap, or stake either happened or it didn't. And there's a bonus no Web2 app can copy: your activity routes into real DeFi yield via Jupiter and Kamino, so your habits are also a growing asset position.

What happens if I go quiet?

The Care Clock runs 7 days from your last verified activity. If it hits zero, your pet dies. You can bring it back with a resurrection pass, or by inviting 2 friends. After that, it's gone for good. A dead pet stays dead.

Can I sell or flip my pet?

No. Pets are soulbound until they reach Whale stage. NFT pet projects before us died the same way: the moment a pet becomes a flip, the habit dies. Evolution is earned by saving, not bought on a marketplace.

Is there more to do than saving?

Yes, but it's all optional. The Risk Room hosts on-chain games, collectible traits and skins customize your pet, and partner protocols publish sponsored quests for bonus rewards. The core loop never changes: your real onchain activity keeps it alive.

When can I get it?

Right now. The app is already live: iOS through TestFlight and Android through the direct APK. The Founder's List is for what ships next: the desk device, drops, and sponsored quests, all announced there first.
